Rude Mechs’ Method Gun to Play Dance Theater Workshop in March

The Austin, Texas-based Rude Mechs will present the New York premiere of Kirk Lynn’s The Method Gun, to be presented at Dance Theater Workshop, March 2-12. Shawn Sides will direct.

The piece explores the life and techniques of Stella Burden, an apocryphal actor-training guru of the 60s and 70s, re-enacting the final months of her company’s rehearsals for their nine-years-in-the-making production of A Streetcar Named Desire.

There will also be a Coffee and Conversation pre-show talk on March 2 at 6:30pm, a Post-show Talk on March 4, and a free wine reception following every performance.
