Ron Raines to Join Marc Kudisch for January 15 Town Hall Concert

Broadway veteran and three-time Emmy nominee Ron Raines will be the special guest star in Marc Kudisch‘s one-night concert, The Lower Depths: In Defense of the Baritone Voice, at Town Hall, on Saturday, January 15 at 8pm.

The show will make a case for why the baritone voice deserves a good deal more respect than it has been shown to date. Musical director Randy Redd will be at the piano.

Kudisch received Tony nominations for Thoroughly Modern Millie, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, and 9 to 5. Additional Broadway credits include Assassins, The Apple Tree, Bells Are Ringing, The Scarlet Pimpernel, and Beauty and the Beast.

Raines’ Broadway credits include Chicago, Show Boat, and Teddy and Alice. He is known to millions of television viewers as Alan Spaulding on the CBS daytime drama Guiding Light, for which he has received three Emmy Award nominations.

The concert is part of The Siegel Season at Town Hall, curated by TheaterMania contributor Scott Siegel. Additional events in the series will include the ninth annual Nightlife Awards on January 31 and All-Star Best of Jim Caruso’s Cast Party on February 17.
