Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem Are New Parents

Oscar winners Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem are now parents to a baby boy, according to published reports.

The pair, who were married earlier this year, worked together on Woody Allen’s Vicky Cristina Barcelona, which earned Cruz the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress.

Cruz received a 2010 Oscar nomination for her role as Carla in the film version of Nine and a 2006 Oscar nomination for Volver, which was directed by her longtime collaborator Pedro Almodovar.

Bardem won the Academy Award for his role in Joel and Ethan Coen’s No Country for Old Men. He received a 2011 Oscar nomination for Butiful and was an Oscar nominee for Before Night Falls. In addition, he is scheduled to make a guest appearance on the new season of the hit FOX series Glee.
