John Leguizamo to Curate New CD Ghetto Klown – Music From My Hood In Conjunction with Broadway Show

Tony Award nominee John Leguizamo will curate the new CD, Ghetto Klown – Music From My Hood, in conjunction with his new Broadway show, Ghetto Klown which, as previously reported, will begin a 12-week run at Broadway’s Lyceum Theatre on February 21. The production, which will be directed by Fisher Stevens, will open officially on March 22.

The album will include tracks from the famed Latin music label, Fania Records, and will be accompanied by a booklet with liner notes and photos. The CD will be available at the show and released in traditional music retail channels in March.

Leguizamo received Tony nominations as both writer and performer for his solo show Freak. His other one-man shows include Mambo Mouth, Spic-O-Rama, and Sexaholix… A Love Story. His many other stage credits include the 2008 Broadway revival of American Buffalo. He is also well known for his film work.
