Jamie Bennett, Nora Chester, Francesca Di Mauro, Cynthia Harris, Victoria Mack, Timothy McCracken, James Murtaugh, Scott Schafer, and Jeff Talbott will perform in a benefit concert reading of The Triangle Factory Fire Project at Theatre 80 on Monday, February 7 at 7:30pm. Scott Alan Evans will direct.

Originally produced Off-Broadway in 2004, the play uses eyewitness accounts, court transcripts and other archival material to create a dramatic moment-by-moment account of the historic 1911 fire at the Triangle Shirtwaist Company which killed 146 people and became a rallying cry for the international labor movement, women’s rights, the suffrage movement, worker’s rights and fire safety laws.

The creative team will include Mary Louise Geiger (lights), Daryl Bornstein (sound) David Toser (costumes), and Colin McGrath (original music).

The reading will be the kickoff event leading up to the city wide commemoration of the centenary of the tragic fire. Proceeds will go to support TACT and the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire Memorial Fund. A reception with the cast will follow the performance.

Tickets are $100. To purchase or for more information, click here.
