Helen Merrill, Ben Vereen, Billy Elliot Cast Members Set for February Appearances at Upper East Side Barnes & Noble

February programming has been announced for Barnes & Noble Upper East Side (150 E. 86th Street).

Theater-related highlights include Tony Award winner Ben Vereen, who will be interviewed by Tom Santopietro on Tuesday, February 15 at 5pm. Vereen will also perform a three-song set from his latest CD Steppin Out Live.

Performers from the Broadway cast of Billy Elliot the Musical will be present on Thursday, February 24 beginning at 11am for “Billy Elliot Day,” featuring a dance-themed storytime, a dance clinic, and a talkback Q&A with the cast and producers.

Among the other events at the store are appearances by legendary jazz vocalist Helen Merrill (February 11), alto saxophonist Lee Konitz (February 18), and jazz tenor saxophonist Joe Lovano (February 25).
