Frances McDormand, Chris Rock, David Schwimmer, Ben Stiller to Lend Voices to Madagascar 3 Film

Frances McDormand, Chris Rock, Ben Stiller, and David Schwimmer will lend their voices to Madagascar 3, DreamWorks Animation’s latest installment of the popular franchise, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Eric Darnell is directing the film, which will feature a script by Noah Baumbach. The series is about a group of big-game animals who escaped a New York zoo and end up on the island off the African coast. In the new film, to be released in May 2012, they will try to find their way home by joining a traveling circus.

McDormand, Stiller, and Rock will all be on Broadway this year, in Good People, The House of Blue Leaves, and The Motherf…er With the Hat, respectively. Schwimmer appeared on Broadway in The Caine Mutiny Court-Martial.
