Cast Set for Charles L. Mee’s Heaven on Earth at La MaMa E.T.C.

Witness Relocation and France’s Collective ildi ! eldi have announced casting for the world premiere of Charles L. Mee’s Heaven on Earth, to run February 17-27 in La MaMa’s Ellen Stewart Theater. Dan Safer will direct and choreograph the production, which will subsequently be performed at Le Substance in Lyons, running March 31 – April 3.
The collage play examines the world’s chances for post-apocalyptic happiness, using both original material and text from the catalog of Revolution Seeds, Isaac Bashevis Singer, O. The Oprah Magazine, and Arthur W. Leonard.
The company, also co-creators of the piece, will feature Abigail Browde, Heather Christian, Sean Donovan and Mike Mikos of Witness Relocation and Sophie Cattani, Antoine Oppenheim and Francois Sabourin.
The creative team will include Jay Ryan (scenic and lighting design), Deb O. (costume, prop, and object design), Ryan Maeker (sound design), and Kaz Phillips (video design).
