Cast Set for Brave New World Repertory Theatre’s The American Clock

Casting has been announced for Brave New World Repertory Theatre’s production of the Arthur Miller play, The American Clock, to be presented at The Brooklyn Lyceum in Park Slope March 3-13. Cynthia Babak will direct.

Set primarily in Brooklyn, but moving throughout the United States, The American Clock is a panoramic patchwork about the Great Depression told in a medley of dramatic scenes and songs of the era, including “Mood Indigo,” “Life is Just a Bowl of Cherries” and “On The Sunny Side of the Street.”

The cast will star Claire Beckman and Stuart Zagnit as Rose and Moe Baum, based on Miller’s own parents, with Joe Salgo as Miller’s autobiographical role of Lee Baum. The cast also includes Kevin Hogan, Franny Silverman, Scott Voloshin, Sandra Mills Scott, Tara Bast, Cathy Mancuso, John Morgan, Nixon Cesar, Caroline Ryburn, Alvin Hippolyte, Alice Barrett-Mitchell, Gary Cowling, Doug Barron, Evan Thompson, Jeff Golde and musicians Amanda Gookin, Mark August, and Chris Cornwell.

The production will feature costume design by Lisa Renee Jordan and lighting design by Simon Cleveland.
