Barbara Cook, Michael Feinstein Album, Cheek to Cheek, to Receive January 18 Release

Cheek to Cheek, the recording that preserves Barbara Cook and Michael Feinstein’s engagement at Feinstein’s at Loews Regency last season, will be released on January 18. The two performers have produced the album, which has music direction and arrangements by John Oddo and Lee Musiker.

The disc features solo performances from Feinstein of such classics as “Without A Song” and “You’re Gonna Hear from Me,” as well as “Ever After,” the title song from the upcoming Marcy Heisler and Zina Goldrich stage musical. Among Cook’s solos on the disc are “Here’s To Life” and “I’ve Got You Under My Skin.”

The recording also features Aaron Heick on reeds, George Rabbai on trumpet, Warren Odze on drums and David Finck on bass.
