Sean Combs, Queen Latifah, Pharrell Williams to Host BET’s Haiti Benefit Concert

Sean Combs, Queen Latifah, and Pharrell Williams will host BET Network’s benefit concert for earthquake relief in Haiti, according to The New York Times. The concert and telethon, entitled SOS Saving Ourselves – Help For Haiti, will be held at the American Airlines Arena in Miami, and broadcast on BET, MTV, VH1 and the Centric channel on February 5 from 8pm to 10pm EST.

The concert will benefit charity organizations such as Yéle Haiti, CARE, Project Medishare, and Children’s Safe Drinking Water. Performers will be announced at a later date.

Combs, also known as “Diddy,” starred on Broadway in A Raisin in the Sun, and is a multiple Grammy Award winner. Queen Latifah received an Oscar nomination for playing Mama Morton in the film version of Chicago and played Motormouth Maybelle in the film version of Hairspray. She also won a Golden Globe Award for her dramatic work in the television movie Life Support. Williams is an award-winning Hip Hop artist.
