Keith Carradine, Ann Harada, Anika Larsen, et al. Set for Robyn Goodman Tribute at New Group Gala

Producer Robyn Goodman will receive the Michael Mendelson Award for Outstanding Commitment to Theater at the New Group’s 2010 gala benefit, to be held on January 25 at B.B. King Blues Club and Grill. Jeff Whitty and Wallace Shawn are scheduled to present the honor.

The evening will also feature performances by Keith Carradine, Ann Harada, and Anika Larsen. Other notables scheduled to be present for the event include Matthew Broderick, Jill Clayburgh, Josh Hamilton, Ethan Hawke, Marin Ireland, Natasha Lyonne, Marsha Mason, Laurie Metcalf, John Pankow, Sam Shepard, Reshma Shetty, Maggie Siff, Frank Whaley, and Karen Young.

Goodman is a producer of In the Heights and the current revival of West Side Story. Her other Broadway credits include Avenue Q, Metamorphoses, A Class Act, Steel Magnolias, Barefoot in the Park and High Fidelity. Off-Broadway she produced Bat Boy, tick, tick…Boom!, Our Lady of 121st Street, Red Light Winter and Altar Boyz. She was co-founder and artistic director of the Second Stage Theatre for 13 years, Supervising Producer of ABC’s One Life To Live for four years and is currently an artistic consultant to The Roundabout Theatre Company.

The event will begin with cocktails, followed by dinner, a silent and live auction and the tribute to Goodman.
