James Barbour, Edie Falco, Catherine Zeta-Jones, et al. to Appear at Drama League Gala Honoring Angela Lansbury

An updated line-up of performers and presenters has been announced for the Drama League benefit gala, A Musical Celebration of Broadway, to be held at The Pierre New York on February 8.

James Barbour, Charles Busch, Edie Falco, Alexander Gemignani, and Dee Hoty will join the previously announced Catherine Zeta-Jones, Bernadette Peters, Audra McDonald, Victor Garber, Chita Rivera, Donna Murphy, Cheyenne Jackson, T.R. Knight, Malcolm Gets, Len Cariou, Christopher Sieber, Will Swenson, Will Chase, Chad Kimball, Marian Seldes, Beth Fowler, and Sarah Rice.

As previously announced, the event will honor five-time Tony Award winner Angela Lansbury. It will include selections from Lansbury’s prolific career, including Mame, Sweeney Todd, Beauty and the Beast, Anyone Can Whistle, Gypsy, and more. The presentation will be co-directed by Tony Award winner Michael Mayer and his Spring Awakening Associate Director, Beatrice Terry.

The evening will begin at 7pm with a cocktail reception and silent auction/raffle in the Cotillion Room, followed by a seated dinner at 8pm in the Grand Ballroom, followed by the performance. All proceeds will support The Drama League.

In addition, bidding on the Gala Auction will begin on February 8, with packages including opening night tickets to American Idiot on Broadway, a backstage chat with Lansbury following a performance of A Little Night Music, and a custom watercolor portrait by Tony and Emmy Award winner John Lithgow.
