Glee Star Matthew Morrison to Record Solo CD

Tony Award nominee and Glee star Matthew Morrison has signed a deal with Mercury Records to record his first solo CD, according to a report on People.com. It is anticipated that the album will be released in the fall.
Morrison is a 2010 Golden Globe nominee for his portrayal of Will Schuester on the hit FOX series. The show also won the People’s Choice Award earlier this month.
He received a Tony Award nomination for his performance in The Light in the Piazza. His other Broadway credits include Hairspray, South Pacific, and A Naked Girl on the Appian Way.
