George Hearn, Elena Shaddow, James Snyder, et al. Set for Encores! Fanny

Elena Shaddow will play the title role alongside George Hearn as Cesar and James Snyder as Marius in Encores! production of Fanny, to run February 4-7 at New York City Center. Marc Bruni will direct the production ,which will feature choreography by Lorin Latarro and musical direction by Rob Berman.

The musical features a score by Harold Rome and a book by S.N. Behrman and Joshua Logan, based on Marcel Pagnol’s novels, which focus on a young girl who falls in love with a sailor.

The company will also feature Rondi Reed (Honorine), Fred Applegate (Panisse), David Patrick Kelly (The Admiral), and Michael McCormick (Escartifique). The creative team will include John Lee Beatty (scenic design), Ken Billington (lighting design), Martin Pakledinaz (costume design), and Scott Lehrer (sound design).
