Mitchell will play the recurring role of Don, a former flame of Wilhelmina Slater (played by Vanessa Williams). Kazan will appear as the mother of Bobby Talercio (played by Adam Rodriguez), while Nestor Serrano will play her husband.

Mitchell and Williams appeared together in the Broadway production of Kiss of the Spider Woman. Mitchell has also starred on Broadway in Kiss Me, Kate, Man of La Mancha, and Ragtime.

Kazan received a Tony nomination for My Favorite Year. She also starred on Broadway in Funny Girl, Bravo Giovanni, and The Happiest Girl in the World. She is also well known for her nightclub work. Her film and television appearances include The Nanny and My Big Fat Greek Wedding.
