Barb Jungr to Celebrate New CD The Men I Love with Café Carlyle Engagement

Barb Jungr’s will celebrate the release of her new CD The Men I Love – The New American Songbook with a series of concerts at the Café Carlyle, running February 25 – March 6.

The 12-track disc, which finds its genesis from appearances she made at the popular cabaret venue nearly one year ago, features songs from musicians such as Neil Diamond, Bob Dylan, and Leonard Cohen. Jungr, with Simon Wallace, has created the arrangements for the selections on the CD which include “Once in a Lifetime,” “I’m a Believer,” “Night Comes On,” “I Saw the Light,” “Everything I Own,” and “Wichita Lineman.”

Jungr received the 2008 Nightlife Award for Outstanding Cabaret Vocalist and a Best International Artist 2003 Backstage Award. Her other recordings include Just Like a Woman – A Hymn to Nina, Walking in the Sun, Love Me Tender, Waterloo Sunset, and Every Grain of Sand.
