Philip Seymour Hoffman, Amy Ryan, John Ortiz, Daphne Rubin-Vega Cast in Jack Goes Boating Film

Philip Seymour Hoffman will both direct and star in the film version of Bob Glaudini’s play Jack Goes Boating, according to Variety. Shooting is set to begin in February.

Hoffman, who appeared in the LAByrinth Theatre Company’s production of the play, will co-star with two-time Tony Award nominee Amy Ryan and original play stars John Ortiz and Daphne Rubin-Vega.

The work focuses on a married couple (Ortiz and Rubin-Vega) who decide to set up two lonely friends (Hoffman and Ryan).
