Steven Boyer, Maggie Lacey, Nancy Robinette, and Michael Stuhlbarg will star in a reading of A. Rey Pamatmat’s Pure, to be presented as part of Ars Nova’s free OUT LOUD play-reading series on February 2 at 7pm. Lisa Peterson will direct.

The play is about queer, British mathematician Alan Turing (played by Stuhlbarg) whose life and work are put on trial, forcing him to confront the painful connection between his pursuit of artificial life and his first love’s death.

Pamatmat’s other plays include Thunder Above, Deeps Below, Deviant, Red Rover, and High/Limbo/High.

The next OUT LOUD reading will be Samuel Brett Williams’s The Frat, to be directed by Sam Gold on March 16.
