Julie Halston, Jackie Hoffman, Rufus Wainwright, and More to Perform at Folly Benefit

Rufus Wainwright, Jackie Hoffman, Lypsinka, The Lady Bunny, Julie Halston, Richard Move as Martha Graham, Kristine Zbornik, Flotilla DeBarge, Todd Almond, Brenda Bergman & The Bodacious TaTas, Sweetie, David Ilku, The Duelling Bankheads, Jodi Lennon, Carol Lipnik, The Flute Friends, Wallie Wolfgruber Dance, Joseph Keckler, Ken Bullock as Ragu Mountain Woman, Hooba Havem, Stine Coen, The Butoh Rockettes, and Tony Conniff & The Grand St Follies Band will perform in Folly: The Grand Street Follies 2009, to be held at Abrons Arts Center at Henry Street Settlement, February 27 and 28 at 8pm.

Each evening is inspired by the follies of the 1920 and will feature comedy, skits, musical numbers, and more. While the line-ups vary at each performance, there is also some overlap. The shows will benefit God’s Love We Deliver and TWEED TheaterWorks.

The Event Committee for the fundraiser includes Blaine Trump, Deborah Harry, Alan Cumming, Joan Rivers, John Dugdale, Michael Cunningham, John Cameron Mitchell, Florent Morellet, Chi Chi Valenti & Johnny Dynell, Johnnie Moore, John Meyers, Michael Sennott, Linda Fairstein, Elisa Wagner, Asher & Michelle Edelman, and Mark Sendroff Esq.
