Jason Robert Brown, Francesca Zambello, and More to Be 2009 NYMF Jurors

Lyricist Susan Birkenhead, composer and lyricist Jason Robert Brown, producer Robyn Goodman, and director Francesca Zambello have been named as jurors for the New York Musical Theatre Festival’s 2009 Next Link Project.

They will help select twelve of the Festival’s full production slots. The Next Link Project provides emerging musical theatre writing teams with training and relationships that will help them to move their musicals from readings to fully-realized productions.

Authors submitting to The Next Link Project will need to provide a demo recording of their songs, a detailed synopsis of their show, a 15-page script sample, a complete script, and, if applicable, proof of rights to adapt underlying material. Submissions are being accepted through March 2.
