Michael Countryman to Star in Margulies’ Shipwrecked! at Long Wharf

Michael Countryman will star in Donald Margulies’
Shipwrecked! An Entertainment – The Amazing Adventures of Louis De Rougement (As Told By Himself) at the Long Wharf Theatre’s Stage II, February 13-March 16. The production will be directed by Evan Cabnet.

A dog, a giant octopus, a pickpocket, a crusty old sea captain and a librarian are just a few of the characters in Margulies’ whimsical new play about a man lost at sea who embarks on an awe-inspiring, 30-year adventure. Margulies’ other plays include Dinner With Friends, Collected Stories, Sight Unseen, and Brooklyn Boy.

The show will co-star Angela Lin and Jeff Biehl. The creative team will include Lee Savage (set design), Jessica Wegener (costume design), Tyler Micholeau (lighting design), and Drew Levy (sound design).

Countryman has appeared on Broadway in Night Must Fall, Holiday, Laughter on the 23rd Floor, and Face Value. His many Off-Broadway credits include Trumpery, Out! and The Common Pursuit.
