Chao, Feuerstein, Machado, et al. Set for Geffen’s Some Girl(s)

Mark Feuerstein, Rosalind Chao, Paula Cale Lisbe, Justine Machado, and Jamie Ray Newman will star in the Geffen Playhouse’s production of Neil LaBute’s Some Girl(s), January 29-March 9. The production, to be directed by the author, will open officially on February 6.

The play concerns a man who decides to visit four former girlfriends in different cities to reexamine their pasts. LaBute’s other plays include Wrecks, Fat Pig, The Mercy Seat, and The Shape of Things. The creative team includes Sibyl Wickersheimer (sets), Lynette Meyer (costumes), Kristie Roldan (lighting), and Cricket Myers (sound).

Feuerstein, who will play Guy, has appeared on stage in The Last Night of Ballyhoo, Awake and Sing!, and Turnaround. His film and television credits include In Her Shoes, What Women Want, Ally McBeal, and Good Morning, Miami. Chao, who will play Lindsay, is best known for her work in the films The Joy Luck Club and Thousand Pieces of Gold. Lisbe’s stage credits include Picasso at the Lapin Agile, Night of the Iguana, and Bunny Bunny and is best known for her starring role on the NBC drama Providence. Machado, who will play Tyler, appeared on stage in The Mambo Kings and starred on HBO’s Six Feet Under. Newman, who will play Bobbi, starred in the Geffen’s production of Fat Pig and played Kristina Cassadine on the ABC daytime drama General Hospital.
