Champlin, Lew, White, et al. Set for Kennedy Center’s Up in the Air

Full cast and creative team have been announced for the new Henry Krieger-Bill Russell musical Up in the Air: The Story of Boonah, the Tree-Climbing Frog, to run as part of the Kennedy Center’s Performances for Young Audiences Series, February 7 10. The production will be directed by Amon Miyamoto, who also adapated Mizukami Tsutomu’s well-known Japanese tale.

The cast will feature Jill Abramowitz (Sparrow), Stanley Bahorek (Boonah), Donna Lynne Champlin (Boonah’s Mother), Jonathan Hammond (Mr. Sparrow/Rat), Deborah Lew (Sunjata/Thrush), David McDonald (Shrike), Lillias White (Snake), and Michael Leon Wooley (Bullfrog/Owl)

The creative team will include Aaron Fischer (musical direction), Sam Davis (orchestrations), Darren Lee (choreography), Neil Patel (sets), Don Holder (lighting), Angela Wendt (costumes), and Haruka Fujii (percussion).
