Linzi Hateley to Star in London’s Mamma Mia!

Linzi Hateley will take over the lead role of Donna Sheridan in the London production of the hit musical Mamma Mia! at the Prince of Wales Theatre beginning on Monday, March 5.

As of that date, the cast will include Joanna Monro as Rosie, Jane Gurnett as Tanya, Iain Fletcher as Sam Carmichael, Steven Finch as Harry Bright, Paul Hawkyard as Bill Austin, Hannah Robertson as Sophie Sheridan, Paul Shelford as Sky, Lucy Miller as Ali, Tanya Robb as Lisa, Ben Heathcote as Pepper, and Kieran Jae as Eddie. At certain performances the role of Donna, will be played by Lucy Harris.

Hateley played the title role in the musical Carrie on Broadway and in London. She has also starred in many West End musicals including Mary Poppins. Chicago, Grease, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and Les Misérables.

Mamma Mia! is directed by Phyllida Lloyd, with choreography by Anthony Van Laast. It features a book by Catherine Johnson and a score using the music of the pop group ABBA. It will celebrate its eighth birthday in London in April.
