Fasano, Rae to Appear at Lincoln Triangle Barnes & Noble in February

Cabaret favorite Barbara Fasano and stage and screen veteran Charlotte Rae will be the initial guests of the new Any Wednesday series at Barnes & Noble Lincoln Triangle (Broadway and 66th Street).

The free weekly performance/signing events, which were previously held at Tower Records, will kick off at 6pm on Wednesday, February 7 with an appearance by Fasano, who will perform selections from her recently released CD, Written in the Stars, which salutes the music of Harold Arlen.

Rae will appear on February 21, performing selections from her PS Classics CD, Songs I Taught My Mother, which features work by Marc Blitzstein, Vernon Duke, Sheldon Harnick, Odgen Nash, Cole Porter, and Richard Rodgers and Lorenz Hart.

Her Broadway credits include Threepenny Opera, The Golden Apple, Pickwick, and Morning, Noon, and Night. Rae’s other recent stage credits include Ken Ludwig’s Leading Ladies at Ford’s Theatre in Washington D.C. and 70, Girls, 70 at City Center Encores! The actress earned an Emmy Award nomination for her role of Mrs. Garrett in the hit TV sitcom The Facts of Life.
