Pulitzer Prize winner Edward Albee will sit down for a conversation with Seattle Repertory Theatre’s artistic director David Esbjornson as part of the Rep’s StageVoices series at 6pm on Monday, January 15 at the Rep’s Leo K. Theatre.
The pair will discuss Albee’s play The Lady from Dubuque, which is being presented by Seattle Rep from January 11-February 10.

The Lady from Dubuque concerns a young couple who throw a party and must deal with the arrival of a mysterious guest. The Seattle Rep production, directed by Esbjornson, stars Myra Carter. The original 1980 Broadway production had a 12-performance run despite a cast featuring Irene Worth, Maureen Anderman, Frances Conroy, Earle Hyman, and Tony Musante. A separate production of the play, starring Dame Maggie Smith, will open in London in March.

Albee’s many other plays include The Zoo Story, Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, Tiny Alice, Seascape, A Delicate Balance, Three Tall Women, and The Goat, or Who Is Sylvia?.
