Dean, Desai, Lazar, Peck, Winther Set for ProjectExplorer Benefit

Broadway stars Bradley Dean, Angel Desai, Aaron Lazar, Erin Leigh Peck, and Michael Winther will perform at Inspired By, a benefit for ProjectExplorer, to take place at 7pm on Monday, February 5 at the Gibson Entertainment Showroom (421 West 54th Street). The event will have musical direction by Mary Mitchell-Campbell.

Dean appeared on Broadway in Man of La Mancha and Jane Eyre. Desai is currently playing Marta in John Doyle’s revival of Company. Lazar is starring as Enjolras in the Broadway revival of Les Miserables. Peck’s stage credits include Grease and Normal. Winther most recently starred on Broadway in Mamma Mia! and received a 2006 Drama Desk nomination for Songs from an Unmade Bed.

Funds from the benefit will go towards the group’s South Africa film and multimedia project, which will both explore the country’s rich culture and introduce students to its longstanding problems, including the AIDS crisis.
