Besty Aidem, Ian Brennan, Susan Bloemmart, Michael Countryman, Keir Dullea, Tom Riis Farrell, Darren Goldstein, and Richard Short will join previously announced star Paige Howard in the Vineyard Theater’s upcoming production of J.M. Barrie’s 1920 play Mary Rose, February 1-March 11. The show, to be directed by Tina Landau, will open officially on February 20.

Mary Rose tells the tale of a young woman who mysteriously disappears and then just as mysteriously returns to her family. Barrie is best known as the author of Peter Pan. The original Broadway production of Mary Rose ran four months, and a 1951 revival played two weeks.

The show’s creative team will feature James Schuette (sets), Michael Krass (costumes), Kevin Adams (lighting), and Obadiah Eaves (sound and original music). Landau has directed many shows for the Vineyard, including Miracle Brothers and Dream True, which she co-authored. Her other New York stage credits include the Broadway revival of Bells Are Ringing and the Off-Broadway production of Floyd Collins, which she co-wrote with Adam Guettel.
