Tony Award winner Victoria Clark will continue as the star of The Light in the Piazza through July 2, which is currently set as the show’s closing date. However, beginning February 28, Clark will not appear on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings; at those performances, the role of Margaret Johnson will be played by understudy Patti Cohenour, who usually plays Signora Naccarelli.

In addition to the Tony, Clark won the Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards for her performance in Piazza. Her previous Broadway credits include Titanic, A Grand Night for Singing, and the revival of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. On February 10, she will perform as part of Lincoln Center’s American Songbook series.

The Light in the Piazza opened on April 18, 2005. The production won a total of six Tony Awards, including Best Score, Best Orchestrations, Best Set Design, Best Costume Design, and Best Lighting Design. In addition to Clark, the show currently stars Katie Clarke, Aaron Lazar, Chris Sarandon, Sarah Uriarte Berry, and Michael Berresse.
