Playwrights Horizons to Hold Benefit Screening of Grey Gardens Film

In conjunction with the world premiere of its new musical Grey Gardens, Playwrights Horizons will hold a special benefit screening of the 1975 documentary of the same name that serves as the basis of the show, followed by a special question-and-answer session with filmmaker Albert Maysles, at 7pm on Monday, February 27. The film being shown includes never-seen-before footage.

The benefit continues, for those who are interested, on Tuesday, February 28, with a performance of the musical followed by a post-show reception with the cast and the creative team. The musical’s stars include Christine Ebersole, Mary Louise Wilson, John McMartin, and Sara Gettelfinger.

Ticket pricing to the benefit is as follows: $75 (includes screening/Q&A), $250 (includes screening/Q&A, performance, and post-show reception); and $500 (includes screening/Q&A, post-screening supper with Maysles and the musical’s cast and creative team, performance, and post-show reception).
