Marcovicci, Akers, Maggart, et al. to Play Algonquin in 2006

The Algonquin Hotel’s Oak Room has finalized its Spring 2006 schedule, which includes three different shows by the award-winning singer Andrea Marcovicci.

Through January 21, Marcovicci is reprising her popular Andrea Sings Astaire show. It will be followed by a brief return of her recent success I’ll Be Seeing You…Love Songs of World War II (January 24-28), and then she will return to the Oak Room May 16-June 10 with the a show titled just love, the program of which will vary from evening to evening based on audience requests.

Other performers set to appear in the Oak Room this season are the young chanteuse Maude Maggart (January 31-February 25); Samantha Sidley, winner of the first annual Young Artists Competition (February 28-March 11); KT Sullivan and Mark Nadler (March 14-April 1); Broadway star Karen Akers (April 4-May 13); and singer Jessica Molaskey (June 13-July 1).
