Full Cast, Creative Team Set for L.A. Cherry Orchard With Bening and Molina

Lothaire Bluteau, Peter Cambor, Jennifer Dundas, Frances Fisher, Jason Butler Harner, Lyle Kanouse, Alan Mandell, Rebecca Mozo, Sarah Paulson, and Raphael Sbarge will join previously announced stars Annette Bening and Alfred Molina in Sean Mathias’ production of Anton Chekhov’s The Cherry Orchard, which will run February 2-March 19 at the Mark Taper Forum. The production, which features an adaptation by playwright Martin Sherman (Bent), will officially open on February 12.

The scenic design will be by Alexander Dodge, with costume design by Tony Award winner Catherine Zuber, lighting design by James F. Ingalls and sound design by Jon Gottlieb. Mathias received a Tony Award nomination for Indiscretions; his other Broadway credits include Marlene, and the recent revivals of Dance of Death and The Elephant Man.

Bening, who will play Madame Ranyevskaya, received a Tony Award nomination and a Theatre World Award for her work in Coastal Disturbances. She has received Academy Award nominations for her work in The Grifters, Bugsy, American Beauty, and Being Julia. Molina, who will play Lopakhin, received Tony nominations for Art and Fiddler on the Roof, and will be seen in Kenneth Branagh’s upcoming film version of As You Like It as Touchstone.
