It has been confirmed to TheaterMania.com that Jane Krakowski will be co-starring in the upcoming production of Guys and Dolls at the Donmar Warehouse in London. She joins the already announced Ewan McGregor in Michael Grandage’s new staging of the classic Frank Loesser-Abe Burrows-Jo Swerling musical.

Krakowski won a Tony Award for her performance in the 2003 revival of Nine and has also appeared on Broadway in Grand Hotel, Once Upon a Mattress, Company, and Starlight Express. In Guys and Dolls, she will be playing the role of Adelaide, the long-suffering fiancée of floating-crap-game runner Nathan Detroit. (The role was created by Vivian Blaine in the original 1950 Broadway production of the musical.) McGregor will play the suave Sky Masterson, who romances Salvation Army worker Sarah Brown. The show’s score includes such songs as “A Bushel and a Peck,” “I’ll Know,” “If I Were a Bell,” and “Luck Be a Lady.”

The Donmar Warehouse production is scheduled to begin previews at the Piccadilly Theatre on May 19, 2005 and to open officially on June 1.
