Songs from Another Saturday Night In New York, described as “a modern musical romantic comedy,” will be performed at the Donnell Library Theater on Tuesday, January 25 at 6pm by a cast including Broadway’s Stephanie D’Abruzzo (Avenue Q), Colin Hanlon (Rent), and Michael-Leon Wooley (Little Shop of Horrors). The event will be hosted by its producer-director, John F. Znidarsic.

With music by Joshua Salzman and book and lyrics by Ryan Cunningham, Another Saturday Night In New York is an updated version of Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice set in NYC, with the characters’ genders reversed. The musical follows Austin Bennett, a greeting card writer who discovers his girlfriend en flagrante delicto with another man; he then plunges back into the dating pool, with only his brother to guide him. Eventually, Austin meets Marcy and the two begin an “improbable, implausible” love affair.

The Donnell Library is located at 20 West 53rd Street, between Fifth and Sixth avenues. Seating for the January 25 performance is extremely limited and is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
