The official opening of the new Broadway musical Good Vibrations, which features music by Brian Wilson and The Beach Boys, has been moved from January 27 to February 2. According to a press release from the show’s publicist, the opening has been delayed six days “to allow more time for rehearsals during preview performances.”

Directed and choreographed by John Carrafa, Good Vibrations has a book by Richard Dresser. Several media outlets have reported that director David Warren was recently brought in to work on improving the musical during the preview period, though the show’s publicist will neither confirm nor deny this. Audiences members have said that, more than two weeks after previews began on December 20, Carrafa was still making a pre-show speech to the audience, explaining that Good Vibrations was still a work in progress.
