"An Intimate Night" at the Plaza for MTC

Manhattan Theatre Club will hold its annual winter benefit, “An Intimate Night,” at the Plaza Hotel (Fifth Avenue at Central Park South) on Monday, January 24. The event will feature Broadway stars Leslie Uggams, Patrick Cassidy, and Kelli O’Hara.

Uggams won a Tony Award for her performance in the 1967 musical Hallelujah, Baby! and most recently appeared on Broadway in Thoroughly Modern Millie; she will co-star with James Earl Jones in the upcoming Broadway revival of On Golden Pond. Cassidy did a stint as Julian Marsh in the just-closed Broadway revival of 42nd Street, while O’Hara played Lucy Westenra in Dracula, the Musical and will co-star in The Light in the Piazza at Lincoln Center later this season.

“An Intimate Night” will begin with a cocktail reception at 7pm, followed by dinner and the show, which is conceived and directed by MTC director of artistic production Michael Bush. All proceeds from the event will benefit MTC’s educational outreach programs and its is musical theater and play development activities. Individual tickets range in price from $750 to $1,000, and tables of 10 range from $7,500 to $25,000. For more information, call 212-399-3000.
