Raúl Esparza and F. Murray Abraham Added to 2004 Nightlife Awards Concert Lineup

Raúl Esparza and F. Murray Abraham have been added to the lineup of stars set to appear in the Nightlife Awards concert on Monday, January 12 at The Town Hall. Esparza will open the show with a performance of “Why” from tick…tick…BOOM! and Abraham will present an award to his Triumph of Love co-star Betty Buckley.

The winners of the 2004 Nightlife Awards were announced on December 22nd. Originated and produced by TheaterMania’s Scott Siegel, the awards are now in their second year. The honorees are selected by more than 20 participating judges who cover the arts for a variety of media outlets including The New Yorker, the Daily News, Newsday, the New York Post, the New York Observer, TimeOut NY, and The Village Voice. All of the winners have been invited to perform in the concert to take place at The Town Hall on Monday at 7pm. The show will be co-hosted by Andrea Marcovicci and directed by Jamie McGonnigal; among the celebrities set to perform or present are Robert Altman, Margaret Whiting, Christine Andreas, Helen Gurley Brown, Lea DeLaria, Sandy Duncan, Tovah Feldshuh, Tammy Grimes, Jackie Hoffman, Ute Lemper, Seth Rudetsky, and John Selya.
