Casting Announced for The Broadway Musicals of 1926

The fourth season of the “Broadway by the Year” series will kick off on Monday, February 9 at 8pm at The Town Hall (123 West 43rd Street) with The Broadway Musicals of 1926. Conceived and hosted by TheaterMania’s own Scott Siegel, the series celebrates the music and lyrics of Broadway, with each individual concert focusing on the shows that opened during one particular year.

Set to appear in the February 9 concert are Broadway performers Sutton Foster, Marc Kudisch, Nancy Opel, and Nancy Anderson, as well as cabaret star Bill Daugherty. They will perform songs from such shows as Oh, Kay!, The Desert Song, The Garrick Gaities of 1926, and Scandals of 1926.

Casting for the season’s remaining “Broadway by the Year” performances — The Broadway Musicals of 1935 (March 15), The Broadway Musicals of 1949 (April 19), and The Broadway Musicals of 1963 (June 14) — has yet to be announced but is expected to include Ann Hampton Callaway, Judy Blazer, Darius de Haas, Eddie Korbich, Emily Skinner, and Chip Zien.
