Actor Tim Blake Nelson will host this year’s benefit for Soho Rep on Monday, February 3 at the Lucille Lortel Theater.

As a highlight of the event, Christina Kirk, Paul Giamatti, and James Urbaniak — all of whom have worked regularly at Soho Rep over the years — will join Nelson in a performance of selections from the company’s past shows. There will also be a sneak preview of Suitcase, a work in progress by Melissa James Gibson that was commissioned by Soho Rep. (Kirk and Urbaniak starred in Gibson’s [sic] for the company in 2001.)

In addition to scenes from [sic] and Suitcase, the evening of entertainment — under the direction of Soho Rep’s artistic director, Daniel Aukin — will feature selections from Quincy Long’s The Year of the Baby and excerpts from various works presented as part of the theater’s 10-Minute Play Series. There will also be a performance by The Flying Machine, whose Signals of Distress was developed by Soho Rep and played there earlier this season.

Tickets to the benefit, which will begin at 7pm, are available at $150 and $100; they may be reserved by phoning SmartTix at 212-206-1515 or online at www.smarttix.com. The Lucille Lortel Theater is located at 121 Christopher Street in Manhattan.
All proceeds from the event will benefit Soho Rep, which is located at 46 Walker Street.
