Malcolm Gets, who recently starred on Broadway in the Michel Legrand musical Amour, will appear in a one-night-only benefit for the Prospect Theater Company on Tuesday, January 14, at 7pm.

Gets will sing “Way Ahead of My Time” (also known as “The Caveman Song”) from Peter Mills’s The Taxi Cabaret; and Mills, who was a recipient of the Jonathan Larson Performing Arts Foundation grant for emerging writers, will perform a selection of his work. Additionally, the benefit will feature songs from the new musical Dido (& Aeneas), based on Virgil’s Aeneid, for which Mills provided some songs. Dido (& Aeneas) begins performances on February 8 at the West End Theater, produced and directed by PTC’s artistic director, Cara Reichel.

The benefit will be held at Global 33, located at 99 Second Avenue (between East 5th and 6th streets). To purchase tickets for the benefit or for more information, phone Regina Hensley at 646-495-5244. To learn more about the Prospect Theater Company, visit the website www.prospecttheater.org
