Brian Stokes Mitchell, Out Sick From Man of La Mancha, Will Return on Thursday

Brian Stokes Mitchell, star of the current Broadway revival of , will return to the show tomorrow night after missing three performances due to illness.
According to a production spokesperson, Mitchell “came down with something” and was instructed by his doctor to take time off from the show to recover completely. He missed the Tuesday, January 7 performance and was scheduled to be out for both the matinee and evening shows today, Wednesday, January 8.
Man of La Mancha, directed by Jonathan Kent, opened at the Martin Beck Theatre on December 5. The production also stars Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio, Ernie Sabella, Stephen Bogardus, Mark Jacoby, Frederick B. Owens, Natascia Diaz, and Jamie Torcellini.
