It Shoulda Been You Offers Valentine's Day Discount

Broadway’s new romantic comedy gives even the dateless something to look forward to on February 14.

The producers of Broadway's new musical comedy It Shoulda Been You have announced a special Valentine's Day discount ticket offer.

On February 14 between 10am and 2pm, patrons can visit the Brooks Atkinson Theatre for the chance to purchase $14 tickets to the first 14 preview performances of It Shoulda Been You. The sale will be limited to 114 tickets per performance, two tickets per person. Wedding-themed activities will also be on-site, including a photo booth and complimentary lattes designed by coffee artist Michael Breach.

It Shoulda Been You is described as "a culture clash for the ages" that follows two families who come together to celebrate a wedding. The Brian Hargrove-Barbara Anselmi musical, which ran at the George Street Playhouse in 2011, will open April 14 at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre with previews beginning March 17. Tony and Emmy winner David Hyde Pierce, husband to book writer and lyricist Hargrove, directs the musical.

The cast features Tony Award winner Tyne Daly, Tony Award winner Harriet Harris, Sierra Boggess, Lisa Howard, David Burtka, Tony Award nominee Montego Glover, Chip Zien, Josh Grisetti, Adam Heller, Michael X. Martin, Anne L. Nathan, Nick Spangler, and Edward Hibbert, along with Farah Alvin, Gina Farrell, Aaron Finley, and Mitch Greenberg.
