Obie Award winner Nicholas Martin will helm the McCarter Theatre Center production of Oliver Goldsmith’s restoration comedy She Stoops to Conquer (October 13-November 1), and two-time Tony Award winner Des McAnuff will direct the world premiere of Will Power’s Fetch Clay, Make Man (January 8-February 14), about the improbable friendship of Muhammad Ali and Stepin Fetchit.

As previously announced, the Princeton, New Jersey-based theater is celebrating artistic director Emily Mann’s 20th anniversary season, which will begin with a new production of Mann’s Having Our Say (September 11-October 18) about the indomitable Delany sisters. The theater will also present its annual version of A Christmas Carol (December 6-27); a new production of David Mamet’s American Buffalo (March 9-28), to star Tracy Letts and be directed by Amy Morton; and the Richard Maltby, Jr-David Shire-John Weidman musical Take Flight (April 30-June 6), directed by Sam Buntrock, who helmed the recent Broadway revival of Sunday in the Park With George.
