Richard Strand's The Realization of Emily Linder will make its world premiere at the New Jersey Repertory Company this spring. Performances are scheduled to run from April 23-May 24 with an official opening set for Saturday, April 25. Strand returns to NJ Rep after premiering his Civil War drama Butler at the Long Branch theater in June 2014.

Directed by SuzAnne Barabas, the comedic drama follows Emily, an eccentric, retired university professor who has come to the "realization" that she knows the exact day that she will pass away. She gathers her two daughters to her side to inform them of her imminent demise and to give each explicit instructions and assignments to fulfill before her earthly departure. An unexpected someone from her past then emerges to divert her off course, placing her in uncharted territory on the road to possible new discoveries.

The cast will feature Marnie Andrews, Dana Benningfield, Corey Tazmania, and Jenny Vallancourt. The creative team will also include Jessica Parks (set design and props), Brian Snyder (technical director), Jill Nagle (lighting design), Merek Royce Press (sound design), and Patricia Doherty (costume design).
