New Jersey Repertory Company Announces World-Premiere Cast of For Worse

Deborah Rennard’s marital comedy comes to the Garden State.

New Jersey Repertory Company has announced casting for its world-premiere comedy For Worse, written by Deborah Rennard. Performances are set to begin March 10 in advance of a March 12 opening, and will run through April 10 at the Long Branch theater.

The story is described as follows: "Three decades of marriage and three daughters later Peter has an epiphany and informs his wife that he is in love with another woman whom he has been having an affair with for the past three years. He assumes his wife will leave, but she doesn't, and to make matters worse his girlfriend gives him an ultimatum. Peter’s choices in life are put to the test as he questions the meaning of love, friendship and betrayal."

Directed by Evan Bergman, the cast features Ed Kershen (The Sopranos) as Peter, Drama Desk nominee Kristin Griffith (The Fatal Weakness) as Karen, Daniela Mastropietro as Lucia, and Angie Tennant as Ashley.

The creative team includes Jessica Parks (set design and props), Brian Snyder (technical director,) Jill Nagle (lighting design), Merek Royce Press (sound design), and Michael Bevins (costume design).
