Full Casting Announced for Paper Mill Playhouse's Ever After

The musical adaptation of the 1998 film is written by Marcy Heisler and Zina Goldrich.

Full casting has been announced for the upcoming Paper Mill Playhouse production of Ever After, the new musical by Marcy Heisler and Zina Goldrich inspired by the 1998 film of the same title. Kathleen Marshall directs and choreographs.

Joining the previously reported Christine Ebersole (as Baroness Rodmilla de Ghent) will be Emmy winner Charles Shaugnessy (The Nanny) as King Francis, Margo Seibert (Rocky) as Danielle de Barbarac, James Snyder (If/Then) as Prince Henry, and Tony nominee Tony Sheldon (Priscilla Queen of the Desert) as Leonardo da Vinci, as well as Tony nominee Charl Brown (Motown The Musical), Mara Davi (The Drowsy Chaperone), Annie Funke (Punk Rock), Julie Halston (You Can't Take It With You), and Andrew Keenan-Bolger (Newsies).

The ensemble includes Jill Abramovitz, Ashley Blanchet, Nick Corley, Stephanie Elise Gandolfo, Gregg Goodbrod, John Hillner, Sean Martin Hingston, Gwen Hollander, Fred Inkley, Will Mann, Liz McCartney, Alison Morooney, Kevin Munhall, Kevin Michael Raponey, Rachael Scarr, Justin Schuman, Jonathan Shew, and Aléna Watters.

The creative team is made up of Derek McLane (scenic design), Jess Goldstein (costume design), Peter Kaczorowski (lighting design), Nevin Steinberg (sound design), Mary-Mitchell Campbell (music supervision), David Gardos (music direction), Leah Loukas (hair and wig design), and Rick Sordelet (fight direction).

Ever After, a Renaissance-era version of Cinderella, begins performances May 21 and will run through June 21. The 1998 film, directed by Andy Tennant from a screenplay by Tennant, Susannah Grant, and Rick Parks, starred Drew Barrymore as Danielle de Barbarac and Anjelica Huston as Rodmilla.
