The Paper Mill Playhouse has announced casting for its production of the musical The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, to run January 19-February 13. Marc Bruni will direct the production, which was previously seen at the Philadelphia Theatre Company.

The show features music and lyrics by William Finn, and book by Rachel Sheinkin, based on a concept by Rebecca Feldman. It centerss on six 'tweens' in the throes of puberty vying for the spelling championship of a lifetime.

The cast will feature Ephie Aardema (Logainne), Will Blum (Barfee), Lyle Mackston (Leaf), Marla Mindelle (Rona), Olivia Oguma (Marcy), Jerold Solomon (Mitch), Ali Stroker (Olive), David Volin (Panch), and Brandon Yanez (Chip).

The creative team will include Anna Louizos (set), Alejo Vietti (costumes), David Lander (lighting), and Nick Kourtides (sound).
