Saturday Night Live alum Rachel Dratch will star in A.R. Gurney’s Sylvia, at the George Street Playhouse, March 30-April 25. David Saint will direct.

In the play, a man brings a stray dog named Sylvia (to be played by Dratch) home to live with him and his wife, which turns the lives of these two New York empty-nesters upside down.

Dratch’s prior theater credits include Minsky’s and the comedy revues Paradigm Lost and Promise Keepers, Losers Weepers, for which she received Joseph Jefferson Awards for Best Actress in a Revue. She is also a frequent guest in the New York production of Celebrity Autobiography.
