Middletown Arts Center to Present Reading of Valentine's Day for Charity

The reading will benefit the Foodbank of Monmouth and Ocean counties.

Middletown Arts Center, in Middletown, New Jersey, will stage a reading of Dan McCormick's Valentine's Day on Friday, November 22. The reading of three one-act plays will benefit the Foodbank of Monmouth and Ocean counties. A reception will follow the reading.

Valentine's Day comprises three one-act plays: 900 Number, Rain Delay, and Accidental Encounter, the last of which was a finalist at the 26th annual Samuel French Festival. These plays will receive their New Jersey premiere at the Middletown Arts Center. McCormick's play The Morons was nominated for Best Production at the 2013 1st Irish Theatre Festival in New York City.

The cast of Valentine's Day features Anthony J. Ribustello, Jason Mersell, Cindy Carver, Joey Cioffi, Deborah Dutcher, and Tamela D'Amico. Stage directions will be read by Freia Titland. Cast member Mersell will act as the evening's producer.
